Vermont man makes poker record

A Vermont man is the new record holder for the world's longest casino poker session.

Larry Olmstead spent three days at a Foxwoods casino poker table in Mashantucket to capture the 72-hour record. He did just that at exactly 1:22 this afternoon.

He started with a hundred dollars in poker chips and ended winning nearly a thousand dollars, but gave most of that away in tips to Foxwoods staff.

Olmsted says he did it for the glory. He says at one point he was too tired to read the numbers on the cards, but he managed to play on to capture the title.

Four months ago, Olmsted set an obscure world record for traveling the farthest distance to play golf. He played a round in Australia, then flew nearly 75-hundred miles to play a round in California.

Olmsted was allowed 15-minute breaks every eight hours, which he used to change clothes and brush his teeth.
